Board & Train
Board & Train is best for owners with less time to commit to a training and behavior modification program. Our Board and Train programs address every aspect of dog training including basic and advanced obedience and behavior modification for mild to severe behavior problems.
Our programs consist of training for your dog in our trainer’s home, where he or she will be immersed in 24/7 training to help your dog learn rules, structure and obedience and to become an outstanding canine citizen. In some cases, “rebooting” your dog’s behavior requires a lot of up front work, a higher level of consistency, and training in different environments to get your dog to a base level of control. This program allows our trainers to do the upfront work for you! We train your dog in real-world environments, offering multiple training sessions per day, as well as exercise and playtime. As compared to a sterile kennel environment, our program provides the stimulation and distraction that your dog would normally experience to ensure the rules, structure and obedience we teach translates directly to real life with you.
Your dog will be one of 2-6 dogs living with our trainers. We keep the program very small to ensure that your dog receives plenty of training, attention, play, and fun time. While your dog stays with us, we will send you at least 2 updates per week via email, with pictures and videos. Your dog will get plenty of training (2-5 sessions per day, depending on the focus), exercise, play, and downtime. We treat your dog as if it were our own, and care for it as if it were one of our own dogs. We know this is a big investment, and it can be difficult to be away from your dog. We love our dogs too, so we understand!
In addition, over-the-top security and safety protocols are in place for your dog’s safety and your peace of mind. GPS tracker collars and security cameras help us to ensure that your dog is safe and secure while they are in our care.
We include a pick-up and drop-off with the program, and, at the time of drop-off, you will have your first go-home lesson. This is where we teach you everything we have shown your dog. It’s imperative that you remain consistent with what we have shown your dog so that you can maximize the results of the program. We also send you a very detailed recap via email for your convenience.
