Mandala Milroy

Dog Trainer & Behaviorist

Meet the owner and head trainer of Cerberus K9 Services, Mandala Milroy.

Mandala is a veteran of the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserves where she served in Military Intelligence from 1991-2001. In 2000, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and in 2002 completed her graduate studies in Applied Psychology. She recently retired after a federal law enforcement career from 2003 through 2021.

Originally from East Texas, at age 15 Mandala began training her family’s working German Shepherds (herding and tracking) in both pet obedience and various tasks related to farm life and cattle. As an avid horse rider with a love of training animals, she also began training Arabian horses under the direct supervision of the Training Manager at a neighboring horse farm. Mandala has owned and trained numerous dogs throughout her lifetime, and over the past several years, she has spent thousands of hours working independently and with training partners to help clients build basic and advanced obedience foundations, to address their dogs' behavioral issues using both management and behavior modification strategies, and to better enjoy their human-canine relationships. She has also spent several years volunteering as a rescue foster for canine behavioral and medical cases, volunteering at her local animal shelter, and has worked with various animal rescue organizations to assist with assessments, training, and foster education.

In 2022, Mandala created Cerberus K9 Services to help dog owners achieve their training goals using science-based practical methodologies in training and behavior modification. She has graduated multiple “train the trainer” programs, including Koru K9’s Master Dog Trainer Program, the internationally recognized NePoPo®️Silver School*, NePoPo®️ New Gold School* along with their Humane E-Collar Trainer Certification, and has attended Crouse Canine’s Dog Trainer Workshop. She has also participated in Dogma Academy for Dog Trainer’s Decoy/Handler Workshop with Marquise Berry of New Era Dog Training, Crouse Canine’s Decoy/Handler Workshop, various dog sports clubs, and she regularly attends workshops and seminars both virtually and in person with some of the best dog trainers and other canine professionals in the

industry.
